SAF-1692 presently owns a consulting firm, where he is a consulting safety engineer. He has been active as a private consultant in transportation and industrial accident analysis since 1968. He has been a consultant to many law firms, insurance companies and governmental jurisdictions. His experience includes the application of applied mechanics to the analysis of failures in mechanical systems, including vehicle collision analysis and vehicle handling. SAF-1692 is a retired professor from the Department of Civil Engineering & Applied Mechanics at a university where he still teaches every fall semester.
