Most recently, in 2012, Mr. Matranga became Tree Risk Assessment Qualified by the International Society of Arboriculture. He is an Instructor for the Arborist Certification course, where he developed his own material, and is a Lead Estimator and manages multiple work crews. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Professional Tree Care Association of San Diego since 2002.

Mr. Matranga has been an Invited Speaker for California Association of Nurserymen; San Diego County Master Gardeners Home Gardening Seminar; Mira Costa Horticulture Club; San Diego Regional Urban Forest Council; and Professional Tree Care Association of San Diego; among others.
