Dr. Conry is a Medical Expert Witness who is a Board Certified Oncologist located in Birmingham, Alabama. He is currently an Associate Scientist at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as an Assistant Professor at UAB’s Department of Medicine.
Dr. Conry received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University, Auburn, AL in 1983 and his M.D. (cum laude) in Internal Medicine from University of Alabama, Birmingham, AL in 1987.
Dr. Conry is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, and Connective Tissue Oncology Society. Along with being associated with the aforementioned societies, he is also a Melanoma committee member in the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group (ECOG) as well as the Cancer Center Melanoma Working Group. He states that his involvement in ECOG and at UAB provides him with access to a broad array of national cooperative group clinical trials for all cancer types. He further explains that he has special research interest in Melanoma, and receives Melanoma patient referrals from seven southeastern states and beyond and is recognized as a regional southeast expert on Melanoma.
He has also published and lectured on Melanoma as well as patented Melanoma Antigens and Methods of Use. He estimates that 50% of his patients per week are Melanoma patients, and currently has a total of about 500 Melanoma patients. He is the local principal investigator for an array of Melanoma clinical trials in both the adjuvant (preventative) and metastic settings. He states that his group at UAB is among the top 3 centers nationally and internationally for patient enrollment on Melanoma trials.
