Mechanical Engineer Expert. MEC-1761 has 24 years of industrial experience, primarily in instrumentation design. He has three U.S. patents for the following: laser light scatter detection apparatus, automatic fraction collector, and the high-resolution fluid cell. Presently, he is a self-employed engineering and accident reconstruction consultant. He has investigated over 500 accidents as an independent consultant since 1984. These include vehicle and building fires and explosions, vehicle accident reconstruction, industrial accidents, machinery and equipment failure, and product liability. He also has construction experience where he has inspected over 100 homes for structural and foundation condition, safety of plumbing, heating, and electrical systems. For 14 years MEC-1761 taught auto mechanics and maintenance classes at the Palo Alto Adult Education.
