Gary D. Snook, M.D. is a Medical Expert Witness is a Board Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon with over 40 years of medical experience. Currently, Dr. Snook is an active surgeon practicing at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City. In addition, he maintains his own broad-range medical-legal consulting business. Dr. Snook received his M.D. from the University Of Utah School Of Medicine in 1971.
Dr. Snook practiced general orthopedic surgery for 20 years prior to focusing his practice on orthopedic spine surgery. He has a wide breadth of experience in both state and federal court systems. He is a founding member of the Society of Lateral Access Surgeons (SOLAS) and also enjoys memberships with the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), North American Spine Society (NASS), and the Spine Intervention Society (SIS).
Dr. Snook’s clinical practice and interests comprise of consulting, including general medical and medical legal, for medical offices and law firms (Plaintiff and Defendant) on case strategy and services. Includes expert witness testimony, case evaluation, services assessment, independent medical examinations, records review, etc.
Dr. Snook has also conducted various researches some of which are Phase II human trials of the antiemetic effects of Inderal (as an undergraduate at University of Utah), Herpes Encephalitis, Transmission through the Cribiform Plate intracranially (as a post graduate at University of Utah) and Inderal: effects on induced arrhythmias in a canine model.
