Fire Expert. FIR-1967 is a scientist specializing in the fire performance of complex systems including materials and structures as well as materials technology problems including those involving wood and polymers. The emphasis in his work has been on the fire performance of complex systems such as rail transportation vehicles and buildings including high-rise and other large, fixed structures. FIR-1967s areas of interest are codes and standards, causes, growth and spread of fires as well as the performance of materials and sub-systems associated with projects.
