Dr. Chang treated numerous professional as well as Division I collegiate teams and athletes, including U.S. Soccer National Teams, the L.A. Galaxy, and Chivas USA professional soccer teams, Wake Forest University Athletics, Pepperdine University Athletics, and was the team physician for the California Rowing Club (an U.S. Olympic Training Center) and Contra Costa College Athletics. In addition, he served on the medical staff for the Tour of California (professional cycling event). He is the Medical Director, WTA Berkeley Tennis Club Challenge.

Dr. Chang has given several lectures and presentations as well. These are: Cutaneous microvascular flow in the foot during Earth, Mars, Moon and micro-gravities – American Society for Gravitational and Space Biology, Arlington, Virginia in October 1993 (2nd place award – student competition); Arthroscopic debridement for advanced osteoarthritis of the shoulder in young active patients – Western Orthopaedic Association Meeting, San Francisco, California in September 2001; Vacuum-assisted closure for fasciotomy wounds following compartment syndrome of the leg – Orthopaedic Trauma Association, San Diego, California in October 2001; and Faculty: Nursing Program – Southeast Fracture Symposium, Greensboro, North Carolina in January 2004.
