David Lewin, Ph.D. is a Human Resources Expert Witness who has been a Staff Accountant at Alexander Grant & Co. in Los Angeles; and an Assistant Professor and later a Professor at Graduate School of Business – Columbia University. He has also taught various human resources courses at UCLA as well as Columbia University.
Dr. Lewin received his B.S. in Accounting from California State University – Los Angeles, M.B.A. and Ph.D. in Business Administration from UCLA. He has been an Expert witness for plaintiffs and defendants in employment discrimination, wrongful termination, constructive discharge, wages and hours, employee compensation and executive compensation cases.

In addition to this, Dr. Lewin wrote an article “Models of Conflict, Negotiation, and Third Party Intervention: A Review and Synthesis” which was chosen to be the outstanding paper published in The Journal of Organizational Behavior in 1992 by the Journal’s Editors.
Dr. Lewin states that he has worked on and off for schools since the late 1970’s and that he has worked on approximately 18 cases involving schools. He feels comfortable addressing the hiring, training, and supervision of teachers. He has been retained approximately 300 times as a human resources expert.
