CHI-1770 speaks four different Chinese dialects: Mandarin, Cantonese, Diejiu (Chiuchow) and Karkah (Hakka). As a wood science researcher in China, he also gives advice pertaining to import and export problems. He also participated in missions to the Philippines and Burma in negotiation with the governments and private businesses on joint ventures.
