Appraiser Expert. APP-1233 has been an appraiser since 1975. In May 1980 she formed a nationally recognized firm affording expert appraisal and consulting services on Fine Arts and Native American Art. She is only the second expert in her state to be admitted as a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers and the fifteenth individual internationally to earn a second designation. She wrote the examination for appraising Native American art in 1987, rewriting it with another author in 1993. She recently helped construct the examination in fine arts. Her background also includes extensive study in museums throughout Great Britain, Europe, and the Russian Block countries. She was the original director of Gallery 10, Inc., known for museum-quality Native American art. Her appraisal apprenticeship took place at Valley House Gallery in Dallas, Texas, a gallery specializing in 19th and 20th-century paintings, drawings, and sculpture. While in graduate
