Exercise Physiology Expert . EXE-1414, who has been a research physiologist with NASA since 1967, has been honored with a NASA Special Achievement Award and fellowship grants from the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and National Academy of Sciences. He has done significant work in physical education and exercise physiology, and his work with aerospace physiology has produced four patented devices. In 1990 he was a research consultant on the Desert Shield Hydration/Hyperhydration Project. He has been a consultant to many other projects, including Pacific-Sierra Research Corporations studies of radiation and fatigue and a 1981-1982 Mount Everest expedition, which he advised on fluids and nutrition. EXE-1414 is the author of over 100 technical papers and abstracts.
