Marine Surveying Expert. MAR-1787 is the president and owner of a marine services firm that provides professional marine surveying and consulting. He conducts condition and value surveys on all types of commercial vessels for underwriters, lending institutions, and interested buyers. He conducts ultrasonic gauging on steel and aluminum hulls. Other services performed include trip in-tow, on and off hire, damage surveys, casualty investigations, machinery claims, and forensic testimony. He has given expert testimony in state and federal courts. MAR-1787 is also an appraiser. His appraisals are carried out in accordance with the standards and ethical requirements of the American Society of Appraisers and the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
